I'm a brain tanner here in the Duluth area of Minnesota. I tan mostly white tail deer.  I do elk and moose when available.  I can also make rawhide for drums, cases and other items.  I do have a supply of deer toes and dew claws.  I try to use as much of the deer that I can.I can do hair -on. (special order). I've been brain-tanning deer hides for the last 10 years. I do the wet-scrape method. I learned from Matt Richards book and DVD. Even though I don't have a lot of free time, I enjoy tanning hides and making a few things for myself and selling some to keep my funds for my other hobbies (fishing and hunting).
